Note to hackers wanted by US government – avoid layovers on Pacific islands

A man accused of “being one of the world’s most prolific traffickers of stolen financial information” was nabbed in Guam, the New York Times says.

It follows a similar case in which a China national Xiang Li was arrested on the Pacific island of Saipan. This may be the beginning of a trend of the US reaching farther to prosecute hackers who threaten US interests. We will see.
