The Chinese have lashed back at Japan Restoration Party wunderkind Hashimoto for his dismissive comments on “comfort women” pressed into prostitution by the Japanese Imperial Army during WWII.
These will color the island disputes, too. The question is if these views from the Japanese are news, or are they news because their ever-larger neighbor is waiting for the latest evidence of historical wrongdoing.
